ARE TECHNICAL TEXTILES?
Technical textiles
could be defined as textile materials and products manufactured primarily for
their technical performance and functional properties rather than their aesthetic
or decorative characteristics. It finds usage in a wide range of sectors and industry
like agriculture, construction, defense, roads/highways, dams, canals, hospitals,
automobiles, shipbuilding, aircrafts, packaging, upholstery/interior furnishings,
floor coverings, sport equipments, environmental protection, hoardings, signages
