TOURISM

Tourism Committee is a highly representative body with all important segments being on its membership. The Committee has been organising seminars and symposia on major issues relating to tourism development. The Committee has lately taken up to organise a mega event for tourism development of the NE region comprising of a highly participative conference, travel exhibition, food festival/cultural programme.

The Committee closely monitors the Tourism scenario in India, analyses and suggests important policy changes from time to time and helps interface various segments of Tourism industry with the Government officials and other concerned authorities.The Committee has been very keenly involved in the process of tourism development of various states and destinations and has therefore taken from time to time several bold initiatives in exploring new areas in the field of tourism.
