Open House on "Public-Private Partnerships : Road Map to Excellence in Sports"
New Delhi.

National Seminar on "Public-Private Partnership : Road Map to Excellence in Sports in India" was organised by FICCI in Association with Sports Authority of India (SAI), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on 24 April, 2002. This Seminar was inaugurated by Sushree Uma Bharti, Hon'ble Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports.President, FICCI delivered the Welcome Address during the event. Mr K P Singh Deo, Chairman, President, Rowing Federation of India gave Special Address at the Seminar. Mr S S Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Mr Shekhar Dutt, Director General, Sports Authority of India (SAI) also addressed at the Seminar. Mr A S Kasliwal, Past President, FICCI & Chairman, S Kumar Enterprises delivered Special Remarks at the Open House.

During this important event, FICCI and Sports Authority of India (SAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to identify opportunities to increase partnership between Indian industry and Sports Administration.

This historical event was followed by Press Conference First in FICCI to address National Press and then at Press Information Bureau (PIB) through video conferencing to address the Regional Media. More than 200 participants attended the event including industry, Arjuna Awardees, former Olympiean and Sports Federations members. This event was very well covered by media by electronic and print media.
