E-BUSINESS

FICCI has been monitoring the growth and evolution of the e-Business in the country and its impact from inception. Indian e-Business has so far benefited a small section of the society compared to other countries. In order to provide a holistic focus on all the issues pertaining to e-Business, FICCI has formed e-Business Committee

Expanding the reach of the internet will greatly benefit the common man. e-Government initiatives would go a long way in enhancing the ease and speed of delivering timely information and services to citizens, while reducing bureaucratic processes and the high costs associated therewith. Besides enhancing the quality of education and healthcare in the remotest corners of the country, low-cost, real-time access to local as well as global information would empower ordinary citizens, and improve the quality of their lives.

Goals & Objectives of the Committee:

• To act as the catalyst towards exploration, study, evaluation and adoption of e-Business practices in India. To identify major bottlenecks that hinder the growth of e-Business in India
• To assist the government in formulating suitable policy frameworks and steadfastly adopting and disseminating best practices in the field.
• To organize interactive meetings among the members for taking up the challenges and working towards the opportunities.
• To conduct Workshops/ Seminars/ Conferences/ Training Programmes for promotion and better understanding of the e-Business
