CONFEDERATION OF ASIA - PACIFIC
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (CACCI)
The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce
& Industry (CACCI) is a regional association principally
composed of the apex chambers or association of commerce
and industry in Asia and the Western Region.
It is a non-governmental organization granted consultative
status under the United Nations.
Objectives
The CACCI envisions itself as the regional organisation
of Asian and
Western Pacific business enterprise. It seeks to serve
as a forum for examining, crystallizing and consolidating
economic thinking of Asian and Western Pacific Enterprises.
Activities
- Holds biennial conferences in Asia and Western Pacific
countries.
- Undertakes, through its members, liaison with Government
bodies concerned in the promotion of laws and regulations.
- Serve as a centre for the compilation and dissemination
of trade and business.
- Encourages, through the Product and Service Councils,
personal contacts among the businessmen of the region.
- Collaborates with other international and regional
orgnisations working for the economic progress of
the region and the world
- Conducts or encourages training programmes to improve
the structure and services of member chambers
- Carries out studies and researches in various fields
of economic activities.
- Undertakes projects aimed at giving concrete forms
to economic cooperation in trade or industry
- Promotes trade relationships among businessmen in
the region.
Membership
CACCI Members are classified into three categories
- Primary Members, Affiliate Members and Special Members.
FICCI is a Primary Member of CACCI.
