Kitchenware; plastic, footwear, textiles & clothing;
pharmaceuticals, automobile spare parts; bicycles &
bicycle spare parts; light engineering goods, electrical
supplies and consumer goods; sports goods, toiletries
& cosmetics, cultural & religious artefacts;
light industrial machinery e.g. for paper/packaging
industry; machine tools.
Investments/Collaborations with India –
Under Indian Credit line Assistance programme:
[A] US$ 10 million credit line in 2003.
- A 5.1 million credit line project for setting up/
renovation of nine pumping stations by Messrs. Kirloskar
Brothers Ltd.
- Setting up of US$ 2.6 million steel rolling mill
by Messrs Aar Es Exim Pvt.
- Ltd.
- Supply of 14 heavy duty excavators by Messrs. Bharat
Earth Movers Ltd. at approx. cost of US$ 1.7 million.
- US$ 1.3 million likely to be used for supplying
vehicles etc. to Suriname Defence authorities.
[B] Proposed credit line of US$ 16 million in 2004.
- US$ 12.89 million for Electrical Transmission Line
- US$ 3.1 million for sourcing Indian goods and services
