India- Brazil- South Africa Business Summit
September 12-13, 2006 - Brasilia

The first India, Brazil & South Africa (IBSA) Business Summit was organised on September 12, 2006 at Brasilia. The Summit explored potential areas of co-operation between the three countries in focus sectors including: Information & Telecommunications, Infrastructure, Energy, Agriculture & Food Processing, Auto & Auto Spare Parts, and Innovation & Technological Development including Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology. FICCI organized a senior level business delegation led by me for the IBSA Summit to explore the trade and investment opportunities with their counterparts from Brazil and South Africa. The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh interacted with the Indian delegation in Brasilia prior to the Business and Political Summits.
