Indo-Israel Business Alliance

In order to promote Indo-Israeli cooperation to its full strength in the private sector, an Indo-Israeli Joint Business Council was established in 1993. The signatories were Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) from the Indian side and Federation of Israeli Chamber of Commerce (FICC) from the Israeli side. However, in the Inter-Govemmental Meeting of India-Israel Joint Trade and Economic Committee, held on January 28-29, 1996 at Jerusalem the two Governments made emphasis on closer interaction between business communities for expansion of trade and mutual cooperation.
