Institutional Arbitration Facilities

Arbitration facilities have been rendered more simple and easily accessible with the establishment of arbitral institutions and specialised arbitration bodies like the Indian Council of Arbitration, the London Court of Arbitration, the American Arbitration Association, the Netherlands Arbitration Institute, the Italian Arbitration Association, the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board etc. Apart from the specialised arbitration institutions, several chambers of commerce, trade associations, etc. also provide institutional arbitration facilities. Names and addresses of some institutions known to be providing arbitration facilities domestic and international commercial arbitration in India are given in Appendix III. Some of the specimen letters used by arbitrators in conducting arbitration through arbitral institutions are given at Appendix IV.
