Business Conference on Afghanistan

The Regional Business Conference on Afghanistan
(RBFA) being co-organised by Federation of Indian
Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with Confederation
of Indian Industry (CII), Associated Chambers of Commerce
and Industry (ASSOCHAM) and Afghanistan Investment Support
Agency (AISA). The forum is back to back with the Regional
Economic Cooperation Conference (RECC) on Afghanistan.
While the RECC will be held from the 18th-19th November
2006, the RBFA will be held on the 18th of November
2006.
The Business Forum will be inaugurated by the Hon'ble
President of Afghanistan HE Mr Hamid Karzai. Leading
businesses entities from countries, namely Afghanistan,
Canada China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iran,
Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia,
Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, USA, UK, Uzbekistan
and business entities associated with Multilateral Agencies
like United Nations, UNDP, IMF, World Bank, ADB, European
Commission, European Council, Aga Khan Development Network,
SAARC Secretariat, ECO Secretariat, are cordially invited
to this event. Participation from other countries will
also be welcomed.
The purpose of the conference is to promote regional
cooperation, highlight the importance of Private Sector
Development in the progress of Afghanistan and also
invite investment in various business projects on offer
in Afghanistan like Transportation and Logistics,
Energy, Mining, Agribusiness, Industrial Park, IP Maintenance,
Quality control, IP Infrastructure and designing etc.
These projects are being prepared by AISA, and would
be circulated on receiving your confirmation. This forum
will be first of its kind we look forward to having
representation from your organization.
Through a series of informative presentations and business-to-business
discussions, we not only hope for the private sector
participation, but more importantly hope to promote
private investments in Afghanistan. more...
