Seminar on Total Corrosion Management
June 12-13, 2008, New Delhi

Knowledge Partner

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.

Corrosion is recognized as one of the serious problems in our modern societies and the resulting losses are enormous. Statistics reveal that due to corrosion and its consequences India is losing about Rs.36,000 crores every year which is amounting to 3.5% of GDP. Damages due to corrosion lead to loss in production and unscheduled shut down in plants and installations and more importantly pose severe safety hazards.

It is seen that traditional anti-corrosion methods are messy, costly and can be hazardous to personnel and the environment. More often, these are infective as well. Therefore, evolution of various corrosion control methodologies so as to provide solutions to eliminate corrosion have now become a dire and urgent need. As the requirements for improved productivity and cost effectiveness increase, combined with an increased attention to safety and environmental issues, activities related to "Corrosion Prevention & Control" play an increasingly important role.

Against this backdrop, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, (FICCI) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) as Knowledge Partner is organizing a seminar on TOTAL CORROSION MANAGEMENT, during June 12-13, 2008 at Federation House, New Delhi.
Experts from various technology developers, practicing engineers, academicians, consultants and end users will be sharing their valuable experiences and knowledge during this conference. The detail of program is attached herewith.
