FICCI along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and United States-India Business Council will be organizing an 'Indo-US SME Summit: Leveraging Global Supply Chains and Integrating the SME Community' in Chicago, Illinois on February 20-21, 2008.

We have invited Mr Kamal Nath, Hon'ble Union Minister for Commerce and Industry and Ms Susan Schwab, United States Trade Representative to inaugurate the Conference. The Conference would also have the participation of senior Government officials and US businesses, from neighbouring mid-west states of USA.

The Conference would focus on the opportunities for SMEs in the US and India to work together in areas of mutual interest. SMEs from both sides would have ample opportunity to network on possible tie-ups.

The focus sectors of this event are financial services, engineering products, machinery and equipment, auto components, electrical and electronic hardware, food processing, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, etc.
