FICCI and Nathan Economic Consulting India Pvt Ltd have joined hands to launch the report on impact of the Internet on the SME sector in India on July 25th, 2013 from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi. The report highlights the contribution of the Internet to the SME sector in India and makes policy recommendations to fulfil its potential.
Shri K H Muniyappa, Hon'ble Minister of State with Independent Charge, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India has been invited to deliver the Keynote Address and Shri Amarendra Sinha, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India has been invited to deliver special address during the event.
In addition, FICCI in association with Google India Private Limited will also be hosting the India SME Heroes Challenge on the same day. The India SME Heroes Challenge is a nation-wide contest to celebrate SMEs that have used the Internet in innovative ways to grow and scale their businesses. 10 SME finalists, shortlisted by FICCI and Google from across India, will briefly present their Internet innovation strategy to a panel of judges and an audience comprising government dignitaries, business leaders, MSMEs associations, and the media. Out of these, only three SMEs will be awarded the India SME Heroes Award.
