India is poised to emerge as one of the leading nations in the knowledge economy of twenty first century. In order to capitalise this opportunity, government, academia and industry should intertwine in proactive manner to create a conducive ecosystem that generates new knowledge and brings economic value through R&D, innovation and entrepreneurship. In order to spearhead this agenda across various parts of the country and create a vibrant platform for all stakeholders to connect with each other, FICCI has initiated a multi-city event series, titled - ‘FICCI S&T/Innovation Knowledge Exchange Forum’, whose first edition was held during March in Pune and the second edition is going to be held on July 13, 2012 at Le Meridien Hotel, Bangalore. The seminar will bring together experts from industry, academia, government and public R&D labs, along with local innovators, technopreneurs and investors to discuss and debate issues around fostering R&D mindset in India, creating sustainable innovation ecosystem, generating IPR awareness and creating economic value through S&T-based entrepreneurship.
