ENVIRONMENT
FICCI believes that it is essential to
secure the proactive participation and involvement
of the businesses and people for improving
the quality of environment. Adoption of
clean, climate and health friendly technologies
in every sphere of activity is of paramount
importance in enabling environmental improvement.
FICCI's Environment Division has taken up
a broad spectrum of initiatives to address
industry's issues pertaining to environment
and climate change.
FICCI's Environment Committee comprises
eminent environmental experts and corporate
decision makers and provides a strong platform
for interaction and intermediation on environmental
issues for the industry. The committee takes
up the environmental concerns of the Indian
industry with the concerned Ministries and
Government departments. It also seeks to
promote domestic as well as global expansion
of the Indian environment business.
FICCI's Environment Division has also been
active in creating widespread stakeholder
awareness on climate change and CDM, the
core issues and challenges confronting various
stakeholders, and CDM opportunities for
industry.
