| Considering
that Agriculture is a State subject and Policy stances adopted by State governments
hold the key to agriculture sector reforms, the Agricuture Division of FICCI has
now chalked out a program for sustained engagement with key States on the subject
and made its first State-level presentation before the Punjab Chief Minister,
Captain Amarinder Singh, and other senior officials & policy makers of the
Punjab Government. Some

FICCI can propose to the Government of India for efficient utilisation of Rs 50,000
crore earmarked for the agriculture sector and other concessions announced by
the Hon'ble Finance Minister in the recent interim budget |

special emphasis on agriculture commodities) and recommend a set of policy suggestions
